I shot my first wedding of the year on the first day of the year. And it was extra-special because it was the wedding of my cousin Lee to his bride Heaven. I know, super-cute-name-combo-alert: Heaven + Lee = Heavenly. Haha. Pretty stinkin' cute. Just like these two.
Lee is my mom's sister's youngest son and their whole family is from northern Minnesota. Heaven has always wanted a beach wedding so my mom's side of the family all rented a beach house on Clearwater Beach and Lee and Heaven had their dream destination wedding. Snow-free.
The day started with my cousin Ellie doing Heaven's hair at the beach house. She was just glowing.

Heaven's three bridesmaids helped her into her dress:
She looked stunning!
Heaven and Lee saw each other before the ceremony. I just adore this moment from their first look:
We spent some time walking around the area before the ceremony and got these fun portraits:
Lee and Heaven were so sweet together. I got so many that I love.
We did a few family portraits on the beach. I have four sets of aunts and uncles and 11 cousins - most of whom have families of their own on my mom's side but not everyone was able to make it. This was the clan who did:
The beach ceremony was simple and beautiful:
Heaven's mother walked her down the aisle:
My Aunt Patty and Uncle Brad were full of emotion watching their baby get married:
Yay! Husband and wife!
We spent more time in the soft light after the ceremony getting some portraits on the beach.
A nice lady came up to us and let us know she had made a sand sculpture we were welcome to take a photo with. It was perfect:
And one last portrait:
