Scott and Kelli are getting married in October. Some of their best memories are from camping in this specific spot on Pine Mountain. So Friday, we packed up some camping gear and made the trek north an hour and a half out of Phoenix. We turned onto a dirt road and drove another hour -- not passing or seeing another car the entire drive -- until we finally reached this remote spot. I love when couples are open to doing something unique and personal for their engagement photos! Here are some of my favorites from this fun shoot!
Scott and Kelli brought along Callie, their Australian Shepherd mix. She was SO excited and just wanted to explore every nook and cranny of this gorgeous ravine:
There should be a rule that you can't camp without making s'mores. We made sure this camping trip was done right:
Callie wanted to be in on the fun and kept jumping up on the camping chairs:
What a fun shoot! Thanks Scott & Kelli for being up for an adventure!
This gorgeous girl is one of my four associate wedding photographers. Mary, along with Michelle, Rachel and Tina, do a fabulous job shooting weddings for Melissa Jill Photography and their packages range from $1,200 - $6,000. Hiring them is a GREAT alternative if you can't afford to spend $6,500+ on your wedding photography, but you still want the quality and service that comes with the Melissa Jill brand.
Mary recently shot an engagement shoot at ASU that I adore and I just have to share some of my favorite photos with you. Jordan and Michelle are so cute together that it makes me a little jealous that Mary gets to shoot their wedding in May!! Lucky girl!!
Here are some of my faves from their recent shoot. How amazing is this first shot?
Amazing job Mary! These photos make me so excited to see their wedding!!

Ian and Val are high school sweethearts. And they're tying the knot this summer.
Back in high school, Ian asked Val to junior prom during a boat ride on Tempe Town Lake. So we thought it would be fun to do their engagement shoot there. On a row boat! SO MUCH FUN!!
Could these two be any cuter!?
I love how much they smile around each other.
Thanks Ian and Val! I had so much fun with you guys! Can't wait for June!

Rachel recently shot an engagement shoot in downtown Phoenix that I adore and I just have to share some of my favorite photos with you. Jeremy and Theresa are so cute together that it makes me a little jealous that Rachel gets to shoot their wedding in March!! Lucky girl!!

Jeff and Jessica are from Ohio and are having a destination wedding in Scottsdale, Arizona in April. Besides being absolutely gorgeous and super-sweet, they also have access to a restored 1920s adobe home on Camelback mountain. Jessica's parents own it, decorated it impeccably, and use it as a vacation home. I was in heaven shooting Jessica & Jeff's engagement shoot there on Friday. Ah.maz.ing!!
What did I tell you? Gorgeous!
Couldn't get enough of the boots!
Through one of the windows in the front door:
Jessica has stunning eyes that just so happened to match the garage door:
Jessica's parents also own some untouched desert land that we had fun shooting on as well:
I may have climbed a huge mound of dirt in heels to get the saguaro cactus shot. Totally worth it.
So sweet:
We wrapped up the shoot with a few photos on their street with Camelback in the background:
So much fun! Jessica & Jeff -- I loved working with you and can't wait for the wedding!!
