Saturday I had the pleasure of shooting Al and Donna's wedding at their private residence in Fountain Hills. I didn't get the chance to meet this couple until the day of their wedding because half of their year is spent living in Canada. But I already knew they would be amazing clients and have great taste because they hired one of my favorite wedding consultants--Emily Edwards with Your Heart's Desire--to coordinate the day.
Check out the amazing details and the gorgeous backdrop for their ceremony and reception:
Al and Donna's wedding took place in the backyard of their home with an intimate group of family and friends gathered informally around. Donna's two daughters walked her down the short isle:
Donna was radiant:
And I love this look on Al's face:
Pretty quickly it became apparent that Donna's daughters were struggling to hold it together. Donna turned around and everyone started laughing:
And crying some more:
It was such a touching moment.
There's something so serene in this photo of Donna:
Man & Wife!
After the ceremony family and friends gathered around the couple and mingled the night away.
Woo-hoo! Another big one checked of the list. This year I've really been working on tightening up my workflow to get it fast and consistent. The biggest hang-up for me has been albums. They're a ton of work! But with the combination of trained assistants (who are amazing) and the Photojunction Templates I designed we are now getting album designs online within 2 weeks after weddings. Chris and Tiffany tied the knot last Saturday and we just posted their album design! I love it. You can view the entire design by clicking here. Keep in mind that the finished album is much larger -- 14x10 inches in size.
Sorry I've been such a blog slacker this week! No excuses. But I do have a few things in the works that I'll be sharing soon.
Tonight my sweet family took me out for an early birthday dinner to Shabu Fondue--one of my favorite "special occasion" restaurants. It was SO yummy. My thoughtful sister came up with the perfect gift that really hits home with me. She made me some pumpkin bread and then gave me a gift certificate for one baked good per month for the next year! I feel so spoiled. This gift is definitely going to work against #6 on my 101 in 1001 list but I will most certainly enjoy it! Thanks so much Nat! Love you!!
I almost missed this but I was featured on Pictage's Blog yesterday giving their Tip of the Week. This time I talked about breaking the ice with clients in an initial consultation. Click here to check it out!
